Buying guide

How to choose the right model?

How do you choose the right Airwall size?

Airwall screens come in four advertising surface sizes: 4x3 m, 6x4 m, 8x4 m and 10x5 m. The stated size is the internal print area of the mesh, while the structure around it is larger – a 4x3 m screen actually occupies 5 m in width and 4 m in height, and a 10x5 m screen 11.5 m and 6.5 m respectively.

When planning the site, work from the external dimensions, not from the graphic area. This is the most common ordering mistake: the screen fits the design but not the ground available.

How does tube diameter affect stability?

The structural tube measures 1 m in diameter in the 4x3 m and 6x4 m sizes, 1.3 m in the 8x4 m size and 1.5 m in the 10x5 m size. A thicker tube means a stiffer frame and more resistance to gusts, but also more volume once packed.

All sizes run on a blower that maintains pressure throughout the display.

Mesh or blockout – which fabric to choose?

The screen comes as standard with a 120 g/m² mesh. The mesh lets wind pass through, so the load on the structure is lower than with a solid sheet.

A projection screen in 250 g/m² blockout fabric is available separately. Choose this version when the Airwall is to serve as a screen for projecting images after dark, rather than only as an advertising carrier.

Can the Airwall graphic be replaced?

The mesh is attached with hook-and-loop fastening and is replaceable, so the same frame serves successive campaigns. Worth factoring into planning: for the next campaign you order the graphic only, not the frame.

The frame and the mesh are ordered together only the first time.

Can the Airwall be adapted in size to specific requirements?

Yes. As the manufacturer we can produce the Airwall frame and the advertising mesh in fully custom dimensions.

Can the advertising graphic on the Airwall be personalised, and what options are available?

Yes, the Airwall allows full personalisation of the advertising graphic, including adding a logo, changing the advertising message, adjusting colours and selecting other graphic elements according to your preferences.

About this category

How does an Airwall advertising screen work?

The Airwall finds its place in a wide range of advertising contexts. It works brilliantly as a feature in urban spaces, such as parks, squares, or large commercial venues. It can be used to present advertising content, promote products, or support community campaigns.

Airwall advertising screens are built around a simple concept. Their main component is a sturdy, rectangular support frame filled with air. An interchangeable printed mesh advertising banner is then mounted onto this frame. The result is a large-format advertisement that's ready for quick setup, yet packs down small enough to fit comfortably in the boot of a compact city car. This practical design makes the Airwall not only an effective advertising tool but also a product that's easy to transport and use on the go.

What optional add-ons does the Airwall screen have?

Additional support base

The additional support base lets you set up the Airwall in seconds without needing to anchor it to the ground. The Airwall will stand on its own

Powerful LED lighting for the Airwall frame

Powerful LED lighting keeps your advertising message on the Airwall frame clearly visible even after dark

What are the printing options for Airwalls?

Airwalls manufactured by Ario offer extensive customisation and printing options, letting you tailor them to your specific marketing goals. Both parts of the advertising screen can be printed: the frame and the interchangeable mesh banner.

Your print design can be completely custom. Simply send us your logos and brand guidelines, and our in-house graphic design team will create your artwork along with a full 3D visualisation of the screen at no extra cost.

For screens intended for projection use, such as outdoor cinema setups, the projection fabric itself won't be printed on. Our standard projection mesh features a white rubberised coating that eliminates glare, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience for films shown from a projector.

Questions and answers

What is the expected production time for the advertising screens?

We normally produce Airwalls within 8 to 10 days, depending on the production schedule. Contact us to agree a delivery date that suits you.

What lighting options are available for the Airwall and how do they affect the advertising?

There are two lighting options. The first is internal lighting of the frame with the printed advertising, which keeps the message legible at night or in shaded interiors. The second is fully external lighting of the Airwall, aimed at maximum legibility of the advertising mesh. The two options can of course be combined.

Is the Airwall resistant to weather conditions such as rain or wind?

Yes. Both the polyester fabrics used for the Airwall frame and the meshes themselves withstand splashing and soaking. Because the mesh contains micro-perforations across its whole surface, Airwalls cope well with gusts of wind.
