About this category

What is a 3D advertising figure?

A 3D advertising figure is an inflatable replica of a product, character or logo, enlarged to several metres. At ARIO it is made to order from your photo or file: a designer builds a 3D model, and we sew the figure from it with full-surface print, so from a distance it looks like the real product. It is the simplest way to make a brand visible from every level of a shopping mall, trade fair hall or event square.

In this category you will find figures we sell as products with a price. A full overview of the possibilities, from bottles to inflatable mascots, is on the page advertising figures for brands.

What shapes can you order?

Any shape that can be described with a 3D model. Most often we make:

Why a sealed-air figure rather than one with a blower?

A sealed-air figure is inflated once and holds its shape without electricity. Inside it has an airtight, transparent polyurethane bladder, and outside a cover with full CMYK print. This means it can be hung from the ceiling, placed in a shop window or on a stand with no cable and no fan noise.

| | Sealed-air figure (ARIO) | Figure with a continuous blower |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Power | not needed after inflation | 230 V fan running all the time |
| Hanging from the ceiling | yes, on welded-in eyelets | difficult, requires power at height |
| Noise | none | fan noise |
| Where it works best | shopping malls, halls, trade fairs, shop windows, long displays | outdoors and short events |

Where does an advertising figure work best?

  • Shopping malls and centres: a figure hung above the atrium is visible from the ground floor, the mezzanine and the escalators. It is a ceiling decoration and an advert in one.
  • Trade fairs and stands: an XXL product replica stops people at the stand better than a banner.
  • Launches and seasonal campaigns: a seasonal product, e.g. the croissant for 11 November, becomes a photo backdrop and a talking point on social media.
  • Shops and showrooms: a figure in the window or under the ceiling leads the customer to a specific product.

How is an inflatable product replica made?

  1. Enquiry and quote. You send a photo or file of the product and give the size. We prepare a quote with a visualisation within 24 hours on working days.
  2. 3D model. A designer builds the model in 3D modelling software, divides it into panels and lays out the print. On the model we also calculate the number of attachment points, so that installation is secure and safe.
  3. Production. We weld the airtight polyurethane bladder, test it for leaks and sew the cover with full-surface print.
  4. Lead time. Production takes 10 working days from design approval and payment being booked.

We show the whole path from enquiry to installation using the croissant as an example in the article how the XXL St. Martin's croissant was made.

How much does a 3D advertising figure cost?

A sealed-air figure with a span of about 5 m and full-surface print costs from USD 2,220 net. The price includes the 3D model with visualisation, the airtight polyurethane bladder, the printed cover and welded-in mounting eyelets. Other sizes and shapes are quoted individually. Prices of other forms of inflatable advertising are collected in the guide how much does inflatable advertising cost.

Questions and answers

What is an inflatable product replica?

It is an inflatable figure in the shape of your product, enlarged to several metres and printed so that from a distance it looks like the original: a baked good, bottle, package, mascot or 3D logo.

How much does a 3D advertising figure cost?

A sealed-air figure with a span of about 5 m and full-surface print costs from USD 2,220 net. Other sizes and shapes are quoted individually, with a visualisation within 24 hours on working days.

Does an advertising figure need electricity?

A sealed-air figure does not. It is inflated once, and the airtight polyurethane bladder holds its shape without a fan, so the figure needs no cable and makes no noise.

Can the figure be hung from a shopping mall ceiling?

Yes. The figure has welded-in, reinforced mounting eyelets, and we calculate their number on the 3D model so that installation is secure and safe. That is how our croissant with a span of about 5 m was hung in the Avenida shopping centre.

How long does it take to produce a custom figure?

10 working days from design approval and payment being booked. Before production you receive the 3D model and a visualisation for approval.

How does an advertising figure differ from a foam mock-up?

After the display, an inflatable figure is deflated and folded, so it takes up little space in transport and storage, and at several metres it is much lighter than a rigid solid. That is why it is easy to hang or to take to the next event.
