How to choose the right model?

How long does a constant-pressure arch hold air?

Once inflated, the arch keeps its shape for several days; after big temperature swings (a cold night after a hot day) top it up for a minute in the morning. The electric pump is included and runs from a 230 V socket, a generator or a car inverter.

Straight or bevelled?

A straight arch has a horizontal beam across the full width, so it takes the longest lettering; the bevelled version has cut corners – two extra fields for sponsor logos and a more dynamic silhouette in finish-line photos. Both versions cost the same in the same size.

About this category

What is a constant-pressure arch and how does it differ from a fan-blown one?

A constant-pressure arch has two layers: a gas-tight TPU inner (approx. 340 g/m²) and an outer skin of PVC-coated polyester (300 g/m²) that carries the print. It is inflated once with the electric pump supplied, the valve is closed, and the arch stands for several days with no blower and no power. A fan-blown arch needs continuous power – in return it is cheaper and faster to set up.

When to choose a constant-pressure arch?

  • on a running, cycling or off-road course where there is no power and a generator is a hassle,
  • on a beach, promenade or in a park – the arch stands silently, with no cable to trip over,
  • in rain and snow – there is no blower to protect from water,
  • for multi-day displays, e.g. at fairs, rallies and festivals.

Sizes and price

Full-size constant-pressure arches have clear openings of 5x3, 6x4 and 8x4 m with 1.12 m legs, in a straight or bevelled version. Smaller and lighter constant-pressure arches are in the SLIM line, fan-blown ones under inflatable arches. The arches complete ARIO's gas-tight family: constant-pressure tents and constant-pressure pillars.

Questions and answers

Do constant-pressure arches need a permanent power supply?

No. The arch is inflated once with the electric pump supplied and the gas-tight TPU inner holds air for several days without power.

What is a constant-pressure arch made of?

A gas-tight TPU inner of approx. 340 g/m² and an outer skin of PVC-coated polyester, 300 g/m², which carries the UV print.

How quickly can a constant-pressure arch be set up?

In about fifteen minutes: unfold, inflate with the electric pump, close the valve, stand it up and anchor it with the pegs supplied or weigh it down with sand bags.

Can the arch be moved once inflated?

Yes, the arch is light and two people can carry it inflated, without deflating. For longer distances it packs into the bag supplied.
