Inflatable arch for SGB

Inflatable arch for SGB: a full-colour print in the brand’s own colours, made by ARIO in Poland.

About the project

What did ARIO make for SGB?

SGB: inflatable arch printed in full colour in the brand’s own palette, made by ARIO in Poland. We match the size and the version to the site — every model we make is listed in the Inflatable arches category.

Why does an inflatable arch work in this kind of display?

A start-finish arch is the one piece of an event that every competitor passes under and every camera points at. The logo on the top beam ends up in finish-line photographs, in press coverage and on the runners’ own profiles, which is exposure that keeps working long after the race is over. On our arches the print covers the beam, the legs and the angled corners, so the branding reads from the side of the route as well.

What does an inflatable arch do for a bank?

Co-operative and local banks go where their customers already are: to family picnics, harvest festivals, sponsored runs and town festivals. inflatable arch in the bank’s colours marks its zone from a distance, and a full-surface print carries not only the logo but the headline of the current offer. The kit is reusable and stores flat between events, so one purchase covers a whole year of sponsorship for SGB, with the artwork updated only when the offer changes.

Where does an inflatable arch work best?

  • road races and marathons — a start and finish line carrying organiser and sponsor logos
  • cycling races and rallies — an arch over the route for riders and support cars
  • entrances to company picnics and town festivals — marking where the event begins
  • fan zones and children’s competitions — an obvious meeting point in an open field
  • car showrooms and outdoor demonstrations — an arch as the gateway onto the site

How do you choose the right an inflatable arch for your own event?

Arch sizes are given as the clear opening: 5×3, 6×4, 8×4 and 10×5 m. For a mass road race 5 m of clearance lets several runners cross side by side, while 10 m takes a whole bunch or a support vehicle. A height of 3 m suits runners and cyclists; where cars drive through, 4 or 5 m is the safer choice. The full range is in inflatable arches.

Did you know? An arch takes more room than its name says

The size of an arch is given as the clear opening, the free space between the legs, but the structure needs noticeably more ground. An arch with a 5×3 m opening measures 7.4 × 4.2 m overall, and a 10×5 m one takes 13.4 × 6.7 m, because the legs are 1.2 to 1.5 m across. On a narrow street or in a gateway it is that second number that decides whether the arch fits at all, so it is the first thing we ask about when preparing a quote.
