Description
Inflatable arch 8x4 m – construction and use
The 8x4 m inflatable arch is a fan blown (constant air) arch made of coated polyester fabric with a weight of 300 g/m², held in shape by a built-in fan. The outer dimensions of the structure are 11 m x 5.5 m and the legs are 1.5 m in diameter.
The clear opening of 8 m wide and 4 m high lets a running or cycling peloton and vehicles pass underneath. The structure works as a start finish arch at competitions and as an entrance arch to an event site.
What fabric is used and how is it printed?
The skin of the arch is polyester fabric with an additional coating, weighing 300 g/m². Graphics are applied by UV printing, with 100% of the surface available for print – including the legs and the inner face of the arch.
Full surface print is part of the standard specification and we prepare the artwork free of charge. The top beam can be completed with a 3D element, available as an optional extra.
Set-up, stabilisation and power
The arch is unpacked from its transport bag and inflated by the built-in fan, which runs for the whole time the arch is on display. Standard anchoring uses the set of guy ropes and the set of ground anchors supplied with the arch.
On hard surfaces, where anchors cannot be used, optional skids are fitted and the arch then stands on its own. For evening events, optional LED lighting is available.
Interchangeable banners and event series
Hook and loop strips for interchangeable advertising banners can be sewn onto the arch. In a series of events only the sponsor banner is swapped, while the arch itself stays the same.
Additional printed banners are ordered separately, at any time after the arch has been bought. The finished product is covered by a 24 month warranty. Pricing for the arch and any extras is quoted on request.

Questions and answers
How much space do I need to set up the arch?
The outer footprint of the arch is 11 m wide and 5.5 m high, so that is the area to allow for at the set-up point. The clear opening for runners or vehicles is 8 m wide and 4 m high. On top of that you need room for the guy ropes to run out on both sides.
Does the fan have to run the whole time?
Yes – this is a fan blown (constant air) inflatable arch and the built-in fan keeps its shape for the whole time it is on display. The fan is integrated into the arch and included in the set, so no separate blower is needed. The manufacturer rates it as quiet, which matters when the arch stands in the start and finish zone.
How is the arch anchored to the ground?
The set includes a full set of guy ropes and a full set of ground anchors for use on soil. On hard surfaces, where anchors cannot be driven in, optional stabilising skids are used and the arch then stands on its own. The skids are an optional extra and are not part of the standard specification.
Can the whole surface of the arch be printed?
Yes – the inflatable arch can be printed over 100% of its surface using UV printing. Full surface print is part of the standard specification of the advertising arch. We prepare the artwork free of charge.
Can the graphics be changed between events?
Yes – the arch can be fitted with sewn-on hook and loop strips for interchangeable advertising banners. This works for event series with different sponsors, where only the banner changes and not the whole arch. Additional printed banners are ordered separately.
What exactly does the standard set include?
The standard set includes the inflatable arch with a built-in quiet fan, full UV print of the surface, a set of guy ropes, a set of ground anchors and a transport bag. Is the arch suitable for use after dark?
Yes – the arch can be fitted with LED lighting, which is listed as an optional extra. Illumination is used for night runs and events finishing after dusk. It is ordered together with the arch.
How is the arch transported and stored?
Once packed down, the arch fits into the transport bag that comes with the set. There is no rigid frame – the structure consists of 300 g/m² coated polyester fabric and the fan. Courier shipments are sent insured.
