Inflatable columns at the Młode Asy Parkietów tournament

A pair of inflatable advertising columns marking a 3x3 basketball tournament. The 360° print carries the organiser and partner logos, and each column takes up less than a square metre of the court.

About the project

What did ARIO make for Młode Asy Parkietów?

This is an inflatable column in the colours of Młode Asy Parkietów: a full-surface print and a complete, ready-to-use kit. We match the size and the version to the site — every model we make is listed in the Inflatable Columns category.

Why does an inflatable column work in this kind of display?

An inflatable column takes up less than a square metre of ground, and its 360° print is readable from every direction and from a long way off. In under ten minutes it turns an empty forecourt into a marked brand zone, with no scaffolding, no rigging crew and nothing to assemble. One person carries the bag, one person sets the column up, and the same unit goes back into the car afterwards.

What does an inflatable column do for a race organiser?

At a sports event inflatable column is both a piece of organisation and a sponsor carrier. It marks the start, the finish or the fan zone, and the logo lands in competitors’ photographs, in social media coverage and in any footage from the day. What counts on the morning itself is resistance to wind and a setup that works at dawn, before the race office opens, usually with volunteers doing the lifting for Młode Asy Parkietów.

Where does an inflatable column work best?

  • entrances, stages and food zones at festivals — with LED after dark
  • car parks and junctions of walkways, where people arrive from all sides
  • set in pairs — an entrance gateway or a start and finish line
  • marking a trade-fair stand so that it is visible from the aisles
  • sponsor zones and registration points at races and tournaments

Which size and version should you order?

Inflatable columns are made 2, 3, 4 and 5 m high. The 2 and 3 m models are 0.95 m across, the 4 and 5 m versions 1.4 m, which is noticeably more printed area on the same footprint. Hook-and-loop banners let you change the graphics between campaigns. A pair of columns often replaces an inflatable arch where the site has no room for the outside width of an arch.

Did you know? A pair of columns instead of an arch

A start arch with a 5×3 m clear opening actually needs 7.4 m of width on the ground. When a race route runs down a narrow street, organisers put an inflatable column on each side of the road instead: the same sense of crossing a line, under a metre of ground taken by each column, and both can be moved to another point of the course in minutes. What is lost is the banner overhead, which is why some events use columns at the start and an arch at the finish.
