Inflatable column for Polski Komitet Paralimpijski

Inflatable column for Polski Komitet Paralimpijski: a full-colour print in the brand’s own colours, made by ARIO in Poland.

About the project

What did ARIO make for Polski Komitet Paralimpijski?

For Polski Komitet Paralimpijski we sewed and printed an inflatable column — the entire job done in our own factory in Poland. We match the size and the version to the site — every model we make is listed in the Inflatable Columns category.

How does an inflatable column work at a sports event?

Clubs and organisers choose an inflatable column for repeatability: the same carrier works at every edition, and changing a sponsor means changing the graphics, not buying a new structure. Banners on hook-and-loop strips make that a five-minute job between races. The result for Polski Komitet Paralimpijski is a permanent presence in the most photographed spot of the event, which is the line every competitor has to cross.

At what kind of events is an inflatable column used?

  • car parks and junctions of walkways, where people arrive from all sides
  • set in pairs — an entrance gateway or a start and finish line
  • marking a trade-fair stand so that it is visible from the aisles
  • sponsor zones and registration points at races and tournaments
  • openings and promotions outside a car showroom or supermarket

What does an inflatable column add to a brand’s presence?

We sew inflatable pillars from PVC-coated polyester, 300 g/m², and a quiet built-in blower keeps the column upright for the whole event. Everything needed is in the set: guy lines, anchors, a mallet and a transport bag. Hook-and-loop strips take interchangeable banners, so the graphics change between campaigns while the column itself stays the same, and LED lighting keeps it working after dark.

Worth knowing: a column has no back, and that is the point

A banner has a front and a back. An inflatable column carries a 360° print, so nobody has to guess which way the visitors will arrive: the logo is legible from the car park, from the stage and from the food area at the same time. That is why columns are so often placed where traffic comes from several directions, by entrances and at the junctions of walkways between stands. It is also why the artwork should have no single front: a design that reads from any angle uses the whole surface.

How do you choose the right an inflatable column for your own event?

Inflatable columns are made 2, 3, 4 and 5 m high. The 2 and 3 m models are 0.95 m across, the 4 and 5 m versions 1.4 m, which is noticeably more printed area on the same footprint. Hook-and-loop banners let you change the graphics between campaigns. A pair of columns often replaces an inflatable arch where the site has no room for the outside width of an arch.

How do you order an inflatable column with your own print?

All we need is your logo and the date of the event. The print visualisation comes to you for approval free of charge, production in our own factory in Poland takes 10 working days, and the manufacturer’s warranty covers the whole set. Shipping anywhere in Europe is arranged with the order and quoted individually. Write through the contact form — we answer within 24 hours on working days.
