5 m advertising sphere with a double skin construction

A 5 m diameter advertising sphere built from two skins, the outer one made of 200 g/m² polyurethane fabric and carrying the print. The sphere is filled with helium or air – the helium capacity is 65.4 m³.

This diameter is intended for large spaces: open ground, event squares, exhibition halls and arenas with sufficient height. Pricing is available on request and covers the sphere with full print together with the mounting hardware.

Material and print

The outer skin is 200 g/m² polyurethane fabric. Graphics are applied by UV printing on all panels of the sphere, with up to 100% surface coverage.

Because every panel is printed, the artwork can include continuous patterns, colour maps or graphics running around the whole sphere, with no blank structural areas.

Filling, assembly and anchoring

The helium version requires 65.4 m³ of gas and the set includes a hose with a helium filling nozzle. The air version is inflated with an optional hand pump or electric pump.

Anchoring is handled by the main rope and the harness of mounting ropes, which is tied in during production rather than attached afterwards. Optional suspension fittings allow the sphere to be hung from a hall ceiling or a stage structure.

Set contents and optional equipment

The delivery contains the sphere with full UV print, the harness of mounting ropes, the anchoring rope, the helium filling hose, a repair kit, a transport bag and a user manual. The product comes with a 24 month warranty.

LED lighting, suspension fittings and a hand or electric pump can be ordered separately. The choice of pump depends on whether the sphere will be used in the air version and how often it will be set up.

Where does this model work best?

The 5 m sphere works as a zone marker at festivals, sports events and outdoor events where the marking has to be visible from a distance. In the suspended version it is used in exhibition and sports halls above a stand or an arena.

The helium version on the anchoring rope floats above the event site, while the air version with fittings stays at a fixed mounting point. The same unit can be used in both setups by changing the filling method and the anchoring.

How much helium is needed to fill a 5 m advertising sphere?

A 5 m diameter sphere has a helium capacity of 65.4 m³, and that is the volume to allow for when ordering cylinders for one full fill. The set includes a hose with a helium filling nozzle.

Can the sphere be filled with air only, without helium?

Yes, the sphere is designed for filling with either air or helium. For the air version an optional hand pump or electric pump is available. An air filled sphere does not float, so it works when mounted on the ground or suspended.

How is the sphere anchored?

The set includes a main anchoring rope and a harness of mounting ropes tied in during production. Suspension fittings can be added as an option, for example for a hall structure or a truss.

Can the print cover the whole surface?

Yes, 100% of the sphere surface can be printed, across all panels. Graphics are applied by UV printing directly onto the polyurethane fabric.

What should be done if the skin loses air tightness?

The set includes a repair kit for minor damage to the skin. The enclosed user manual describes how to use it.

How long does the product hold air without topping up?

The air holds for about 7 days, after which the structure needs a gentle top-up. For displays running longer than a week, plan a short pressure check, particularly when day and night temperatures differ widely.
