Description

Inflatable tent 5x5 – construction and use

The 5x5 inflatable tent is an event canopy built on an inflated structure, with no frame, poles or bolted joints. The 0.8 m diameter legs and the roof are sewn from PVC-coated polyester fabric with a weight of 320 g/m². Pressure inside the structure is maintained by a built-in fan.

The external footprint is 5x5 m, with 3.4 x 3.4 m of working space between the legs and an internal height of 3.1 m. That is a size suited to an information point, a registration zone, a sponsor stand, a race catering point or a technical base for event staff.

Material and weather resistance

The skin is polyester fabric with an additional PVC coating, 320 g/m². The coating provides water resistance, and the material keeps its properties in sub-zero temperatures, so the tent can also be used at winter events.

A fan blown structure has no rigid load-bearing parts, so in gusts it flexes and returns to shape instead of breaking at the joints. All four legs must always be anchored or weighted.

Set-up, anchoring and transport

The tent is unpacked from its bag, the fan is connected and the structure is filled with air, then secured with guy ropes. The set of ropes, pegs and the mallet are included and are sufficient on soil and grass.

On block paving, concrete and indoors, separately available weights are used: sand or water bags, concrete or steel. Once deflated, the whole tent fits into the transport bag supplied with the set, so it can be carried in a passenger car.

UV print and side walls

Printing covers the entire surface of the tent and is done using UV print. Graphics can be laid out across the roof, the legs and the side walls, and we prepare the artwork at no extra charge.

A full set of side walls is included and lets you close the tent off on selected sides. The walls can be clipped in with the print facing inwards, so the graphics also work on people standing under the canopy, for example in a VIP area or at participant registration.

What can you add to the set?

Two lighting solutions are available: LED lighting and leg illumination. The first lights the space under the roof, the second illuminates the 0.8 m diameter legs and keeps the shape of the tent readable after dark.

Weights form a separate group of accessories: sand or water bags, concrete and steel. They are selected according to the surface the tent will most often stand on. Options are quoted on request.

Questions and answers

How much space does the 5x5 tent take up and how much room is there under the roof?

The tent measures 5x5 m externally, with 3.4 x 3.4 m of clear space between the legs. Internal height is 3.1 m, so a counter, roll-up or service point fits under the roof without trouble. When planning your pitch on site, add an allowance for the guy ropes.

How does the fan blown structure work and does it need topping up with air?

The tent has a built-in fan that maintains pressure in the structure the whole time it is in use, so no manual topping up is needed. The 0.8 m diameter legs fill with air and hold the roof up without any frame or poles. After the event the air is released and the tent packs into its transport bag.

What is included in the set?

The set includes the tent with built-in fan, a full set of side walls, a set of guy ropes, a set of anchoring pegs, a mallet, the user manual and a transport bag. Full UV print across the tent surface is also part of the set. The product comes with a 24-month warranty.

How do I secure the tent on hard ground where pegs cannot be driven in?

On block paving, asphalt or indoors, use the optional weights: sand or water bags, concrete or steel. The pegs and mallet supplied in the set work on grass and soil. Guy ropes are included regardless of the anchoring method you choose.

Can the side walls be removed?

Yes – the full set of side walls is included and clips onto the structure, so walls can be fitted and removed as required. They can also be clipped in with the print facing inwards, which puts the graphics in front of people standing under the tent. Without the walls, the tent works as a canopy open on all four sides.

What printing technique is used?

Printing is done with UV print across the entire surface of the tent. The roof and the side walls can be printed, including on the inner face. Graphic design preparation is free of charge.

Will the tent handle rain and winter use?

The tent is made from PVC-coated polyester materials that are resistant to water and to sub-zero temperatures. Fabric weight is 320 g/m². In strong wind the structure must be fully anchored or weighted down.

Is lighting available for the tent?

Yes, LED lighting and leg illumination are both available as options. Both are specified at the time of ordering and mounted within the tent structure. Illuminated legs of 0.8 m diameter are visible from a long distance after dark. Pricing for options is quoted on request.
