Description

3 m advertising sphere – construction and use

An advertising balloon in the shape of a ball, 3 m high, made of PVC coated polyester fabric with a weight of 320 g/m². The shape is held by a fan built into the base of the structure, which supplies air for the whole time the balloon is running. The skin is printed over its full surface in UV technology.

The sphere format works at sporting events, tournaments, fan zones and promotional campaigns for sports related brands. The structure is reusable – after the event the balloon folds into its bag and travels to the next location.

Material and print

PVC coated polyester fabric 320 g/m² forms a skin that handles the tension of air fed in by the fan and the conditions of outdoor display. Seams run along the divisions of the sphere, which orders the layout of the graphics across the segments.

UV print covers the full surface of the balloon, so the logotype, company colours and background can be planned across the whole body rather than on a single band. Artwork is prepared at no extra charge on the basis of materials supplied by the client.

How do you set it up, anchor it and power it?

Setup uses the set of guy ropes and the set of ground anchors supplied with the balloon. Anchors work on grass and soil; on asphalt, paving or indoors, optional weights are used – sand or water, concrete or steel.

The fan runs for the whole time the balloon is on display, so the position needs to be planned within reach of a power supply. The user manual included in the set covers the order of unpacking, fixing the guy lines and folding the balloon.

Changing the message and running after dark

The balloon has a hook and loop trim and a hook and loop mounted banner, which allows the advertising message to be changed without ordering a new skin. At recurring events one balloon can serve several campaigns if an additional interchangeable advertising band is ordered.

Optional LED lighting illuminates the sphere from the inside, and a dusk sensor switches it on by itself once it gets dark. This equipment is useful at events running into the evening and for round the clock display.

Set contents and logistics

The set contains the balloon with a built in fan, full UV print, guy ropes, ground anchors, a user manual and a transport bag. The product is covered by a 24-month warranty, and a quotation is prepared on request.

The bag holds the folded skin together with the accessories, so the event crew can move the set without specialist transport. Shipping is handled by insured courier.

How does the balloon hold its shape during an exhibition?

The shape is held by a fan built into the balloon, running for the whole time the balloon is on display. This is a fan blown (constant air) solution, not gas filling, so the advertising sphere can be set up and packed down again as many times as needed.

How is the sphere anchored to the ground?

The set includes a full set of guy ropes and a full set of ground anchors. On hard surfaces where anchors cannot be driven in, optional weights are available – sand or water bags, concrete or steel.

Can I change the advertising message without buying a new balloon?

Yes – the balloon has a hook and loop trim and a hook and loop mounted banner, so the printed band can be removed and refitted without touching the skin. An additional interchangeable advertising band is available as an option, for example for a following campaign or another sponsor.

What printing technique is used?

Printing is done in UV technology and covers the full surface of the balloon. Graphics are part of the set, and artwork preparation is carried out at no extra charge.

Can the balloon be displayed after dark?
