Description
Light bulb advertising balloon 5 m – construction and use
The bulb shaped balloon is 5 m high and made of polyester fabric with an additional PVC coating, 320 g/m². The shape is maintained by a built-in fan that pushes air into the skin for the whole time the balloon is on display.
The bulb form is most often used by companies in the energy, photovoltaic, lighting and installation sectors, and as part of trade fair scenography. Kits with full surface print are quoted on request.
Material, printing and graphics changes
The skin, made of PVC coated polyester 320 g/m², is printed all over using UV printing, so the graphics can cover the entire bulb rather than a single designated panel.
The balloon has a hook and loop trim and a banner fixed with hook and loop tape. The advertising message can therefore be changed between campaigns without replacing the whole balloon – an additional interchangeable advertising band can be ordered as an option.
Installation, anchoring and ballast
The kit includes a set of guy ropes, a set of anchors and a user manual. On soil the balloon is anchored directly; on block paving, asphalt or indoors, ballast weights are needed.
Optional equipment includes weights filled with sand or water as well as concrete and steel weights. The choice depends on the surface and on whether the balloon will stand outdoors or under a roof.
How does it work after dark?
The balloon can be fitted with LED lighting placed inside the skin, which lights the whole bulb from within. It is complemented by a dusk sensor that switches the light on automatically once night falls.
This setup works for multi-day displays, where the balloon stays set up outside the staffed hours as well.

Questions and answers
What power supply does the balloon need?
The advertising balloon holds its shape thanks to a built-in fan that has to run for the whole time the balloon is on display, so continuous access to mains power is required. Once the power is disconnected, the skin deflates and the balloon packs down into its transport bag.
How is a 5 m balloon secured?
It is secured with a set of guy ropes and a set of anchors, both included in the kit. On hard surfaces where anchors cannot be driven in, ballast weights from the optional equipment list are used: sand or water filled, concrete or steel.
Does the print cover the whole surface of the balloon?
Yes, full surface UV printing is included in the kit. The graphics are applied directly onto the PVC coated polyester fabric.
Can the advertising message be changed without replacing the whole balloon?
Yes, the balloon has a hook and loop trim and a banner fixed with hook and loop tape, so the advertising band can be removed and swapped without touching the skin itself. A spare interchangeable advertising band is available as optional equipment.
Is the balloon suitable for evening displays?
Yes, LED lighting that illuminates the skin from the inside is available, together with a dusk sensor that switches the light on automatically after dark. Both items are on the optional equipment list.
How is the balloon transported and stored?
Once deflated, the balloon packs into the transport bag supplied with the kit, together with the fan, ropes and anchors. Courier shipping is insured.
