Description
Ball-shaped advertising balloon – construction and use
The balloon is a sphere 8 m high, sewn from PVC-coated polyester fabric with a weight of 320 g/m², with a built-in fan that keeps the skin under positive pressure throughout the display. The entire surface is UV printed to the customer's artwork.
The fan blown construction needs no frame – the sphere is unpacked from its bag, connected to power and inflated in a few minutes. The 8 m size is intended for open spaces: event grounds, car parks, forecourts at showrooms and start zones at sporting events.
What is the skin made of?
PVC-coated polyester, 320 g/m², resists moisture and gives a smooth base for print, so graphics on the curve of the sphere do not break across the seams. The skin rolls into the transport bag and requires no rigid parts.
The edges of the advertising panel are finished with hook-and-loop tape. This allows the advertising banner to be taken off and refitted without cutting or restitching the skin.
How do you set it up, anchor it and power it?
A set of guy ropes and a set of ground anchors are supplied – the basic way of stabilising the sphere on soil. On surfaces where an anchor cannot be driven in, optional ballast is used: sand or water filled weights, concrete or steel weights.
The fan runs continuously and needs a permanent supply from the mains or a generator, which is worth taking into account when choosing the location. The supplied user manual describes the setup and packing-down procedure.
UV print and interchangeable advertising
Printing is done by UV method across the whole surface of the sphere and is part of the set. The manufacturer prepares the graphic design free of charge, based on materials supplied by the customer.
If the advertising message is to change between events, an interchangeable advertising band can be ordered. The sphere with its permanent print then acts as the carrier, and successive banners with the current campaign are fitted on the hook-and-loop tape.
After-dark use and optional equipment
The sphere can be fitted with LED lighting that illuminates it from the inside, and with a dusk sensor that switches the light on automatically after dark. This combination extends display time around the clock with no operator on site.
The options list also covers sand or water ballast weights, concrete and steel weights, and the interchangeable advertising band. Every order comes with a 24-month warranty, insured courier shipment and after-sales support.

How is the 8 m advertising balloon powered?
The balloon runs on mains electricity – air is supplied by a built-in fan that has to run for the whole time the balloon is on display. Without a power connection the sphere will not hold its shape, so the setup spot needs to be planned within reach of an electrical supply or a generator.
What is included in the set?
The set includes the fan blown balloon with a built-in fan, full UV print across the surface, a set of guy ropes, a set of ground anchors, a user manual and a transport bag. The product comes with a 24-month warranty.
How is the 8 m sphere anchored?
The sphere is stabilised with the set of guy ropes and ground anchors supplied with it. Anchors work in soil; on hard surfaces such as asphalt, concrete or a hall floor, optional sand or water ballast weights and concrete or steel weights are available.
Is printing included?
Yes, full UV print across the balloon surface is part of the set, and graphic design preparation is free of charge. Pricing for the complete set is quoted on request.
Can the advertising message be changed without replacing the whole balloon?
Yes – the sphere has hook-and-loop edging and a hook-and-loop banner, so the advertising band can be removed and refitted without any work on the skin itself. The interchangeable advertising band is ordered as optional equipment, which lets one sphere serve several campaigns.
Is the balloon suitable for display after dark?
Yes, LED lighting is available together with a dusk sensor that switches the illumination on automatically once it gets dark. Both items are optional equipment.
How is the 8 m balloon transported?
The balloon folds into the supplied transport bag together with the ropes and anchors. The PVC-coated polyester fabric, 320 g/m², rolls up, so a van is enough for transport, and courier shipment is insured.
What warranty covers the product?
The manufacturer provides a 24-month warranty on the finished product. After-sales support is provided once the order is delivered.
